Dr. Phil. Nassim Mehran is a Berlin-based urban sociologist and architect. She had several years of professional experience in architectural and urban design. Since 2014 she has been working as a researcher and lecturer at Humboldt University. Her focus is on spatial justice, urban inequalities (poverty, racism, gender-based violence), social and psychological ecology of housing and health in the context of refuge and migration, and participatory urban alternatives in a time of crisis and armed conflicts.
